When I was young, I felt disheartened by my lack of a singular passion. I can get excited about anything and everything. I remember crying to my mother, wondering why I couldn’t be like Mozart; a genius consumed by one extraordinary pursuit.
I’ve since made peace with it, and one fascination has been with me always: a curiosity to capture the world around. With a camera in my hand the world slows down enough for me to take it in.
